When I met Jeffery Lay, I couldn’t resist asking him:
“What did it feel like to be a Top Gun?”
He was happy to describe the experience to me and how it lead him to a career in finance after leaving active duty as an F-14 fighter pilot. To Jeff, flying was all about managing risk – which is exactly what he ended up doing in finance. Now he runs a firm called Talon Eight Global Wealth Management, is a director on the board of the Market Technician’s Association and is writing a sure-to-be hit book. Keep checking in with the blog to read the series of articles he’ll be writing for us titled, Risk and Excellence.
